ABOUT THE DATABASE

Welcome to the Greyhound-Ancestry database! Currently the database is focused on Greyhounds with an amateur performance background (e.g. show, obedience, coursing) that have been registered by the AKC, CKC, KC or one of the FCI member countries. Also included are NGA registered Greyhounds whom have achieved coursing and amateur racing titles. Looking for a web based database focused on professional racing Greyhounds? There is an excellent resource at The Greyhound Breed & Race Database.

I have taken great care to provide accurate information but as is to be expected from compiling information from a variety of sources (and the likelihood that I mis-typed and entry or two...) there are bound to be unintentional errors, duplicate spellings of names and incomplete titles. Please use the feedback link to report errors, omissions or additions. The growth and accuracy of this database is a combined effort of the entire Greyhound Community. Thanks to all of you who have submitted your Greyhounds!

The plan is to update the database monthly. Date of the latest update is located on the homepage.

Interested in submitting a photo to display with a pedigree? Photos are always welcome! I prefer scans at (at least) 150 DPI, at least 3 inches tall and saved in the JPEG format. Check out the submit a photo page for more information.

Use of Greyhound Pedigrees Online is monitored and access is authorized only in accordance with the following usage guidelines:

No Robots allowed: Users are specifically prohibited from using automated robots for any purpose to search this on-line pedigree database.

Personal use only: The Greyhound Pedigrees Online database has been provided for the private use of individuals interested and the ancestry of purebred Greyhounds. Users are strictly prohibited from using the database or material derived from the database in any commercial enterprise. Under no circumstances may the data contained within the database be resold or incorporated into another product that is offered for sale.

No guarantee of accuracy: Please keep in mind that this is not an official registration database and is not affiliated with any organization. Information is provided "as is" and no guarantees as to the correctness of the information are made.
